‘Rock spotting? It beats shopping’ by Kate Ravilious in The Guardian Online
Urban geology hit The Guardian last Sunday, thanks to science journalist and geologist Kate Ravilious. Her article recommended that we beat the post-Christmas blues by checking out some building stones rather than going to the sales. London Pavement Geology heartily agrees! Thanks to Kate for mentioning Ruth Siddall’s urban geology in London guides which form the basis for the London Pavement Geology’s database. There is also a heads up for the lovely new book by our Oxford-based colleagues and fellow urban geologists Nina Morgan and Philip Powell. Read the full article here!
